Join us on this epic subterranean tour through one of the most expansive caves in all of Oregon! Tucked away in an ocean of sagebrush and ponderosa, Derrick Cave features stunning skylights, massive caverns and endless adventure. As we emerge from the cave we will be greeted by the cosmos above. Lying east of Bend, on the edge of the Devils Garden Lava Bed and miles from any city lights, the area is a perfect stargazing destination!

Our journey will begin in the crisp, fresh morning air. Clear Lake has certainly earned its name. The freshwater spring is responsible for making Clear Lake one of the most magnificent bodies of water in all of Oregon. In this region of Oregon’s Cascade Mountains, the colors of fall are truly outstanding. The Lake is surround by a variety of deciduous and coniferous flora, giving us the opportunity to see the brightest yellows, reds, and greens that fall can offer!

As the sun’s warmth and radiance begins to wane, it is time to harvest! For this incredible experience, Wanderlust Tours will be partnering with Luckey’s Woodsman, experts in backcountry cooking techniques, to teach guests about foraging techniques, identification of flora and fauna, and how simple ingredients that can be found all around us in mother nature can be used to make and accentuate stunningly delicious dishes!

Our Tumalo Creek Hike is part of our Accessible Tour Series with AdvenChair! The tour is open to both the public and those with adaptive needs.
We will begin our adventure along the crystal clear waters of Tumalo Creek. During our hike, we’ll experience a magnificent ecosystem filled with the wonderful reds and yellows of autumn. Our route will take us through a section of Tumalo canyon where we will immerse ourselves in some of Central Oregon’s finest geologic features

The Geminids Meteor Shower is one of the most plentiful meteor showers that grace our night skies each year! Cruising on snowshoes under the night sky, we will immerse ourselves in the winter wonderland of the Deschutes National Forest, enjoying a cup of delectable hot cocoa as we meander through the powdery snow!

Experience the Geminids Meteor Shower in the Oregon Outback, the largest contiguous dark sky shed in the United States. Join us for a night of exploration in the Oregon Outback as we revel in the grandeur of the Geminids Meteor Shower, one of the most plentiful meteor showers that grace our night skies each year!

We are very excited to team up with Three Sisters Backcountry to access this incredible glacial cirque on the northeastern flanks of the Three Sisters Wilderness. Fire and ice shaped this pristine wilderness into what it is today. Volcanic eruptions and glaciers carved the landscape, creating prominent rock outcroppings, jagged cliffs, and a moraine lake. Snowshoeing within view of the Tam McArthur rim will give us a fresh perspective of this often untrodden winter wonderland.

Don't miss out on one of our biggest events of the year! Snowshoeing through the lush and verdant forest of the Central Oregon Cascades, we will descend upon a Michaelangelo-esque creation, an amazing snow built amphitheater where a crackling bonfire awaits. Gathering around the fire, we will usher in the New Year with a champagne toast at the turn of midnight!

Join us for a stunning, snow-filled evening in the heart of the Deschutes National Forest. For this incredible experience, Wanderlust Tours will be partnering with Luckey’s Woodsman, experts in backcountry cooking techniques, to create an incredible fireside dinner experience! Winter is a time for hearty, soul-warming meals and on this magical evening, Luckey’s Woodsman will prepare a variety of craft soups paired with freshly baked bread that will warm both our hands and our heart!

Experience one of the most stunning sights in the Pacific Northwest! In the winter, we lead snowshoe tours along the rim of this volcanic caldera, explaining the fascinating geological and cultural history of Oregon's only National Park. Afterward, enjoy a deli lunch in this beautiful landscape.
