The Crux Fermentation Experience at Smith Rock
Saturday, June 5th, 2021
1:30 PM - 6:30 PM
ABOUT THE TOUR
Depart Crux Fermentation Project for an awe-inspiring journey to experience nature’s handiwork at Smith Rock through a brewer’s lens.
As we begin our descent into the Crooked River canyon we’ll examine the wildlife, geology, agriculture, water and rock which, when coalesced, give birth to wild yeasts, microflora, and bacteria that provide for the complexities of Crux’s latest Gypsy Coolship release. This sweet fusion is the inspiration behind the brewery's name! Our hike along the spectacular riparian habitat lends itself to inspiration and understanding of nature’s magic, atmospheric secrets and its brewing compatibility. At some point we will sip the goodness and taste the result of Crux’ open-air, wort-cooled, brewing ingenuity!
Head back to the Crux tasting room for pizza, charcuterie, and a variety of delicious Crux beers where elite staff, handpicked for their knowledge, answer your brewing questions as you drink and dine!

We may be a bit hard to find, but we're right smack in the middle of Bend, Oregon. Take the road less traveled and brave the "Private Road" and "No Outlet" signs— you'll be rewarded with 20+ original craft beers on tap and an expansive panoramic view of the Cascade Mountains which at dusk hosts Central Oregon's most incredible sunsets.
Brewer-owned and operated, our tasting room is right in the middle of our brewery, partly because that's all the space we had left— but mostly because we wanted to give you the opportunity to experience the sites, sounds and wonderful aromas of the craft brewing process.
