Adventure: Join us as we go right to the source! For this incredible experience, Wanderlust Tours will be partnering with Luckey’s Woodsman, experts in backcountry cooking techniques, to teach guests about foraging techniques, identification of flora and fauna, and how simple ingredients that can be found all around us in mother nature can be used to make and accentuate stunningly delicious dishes!

Naturalist Guided Experience: We will begin our adventure in the forests of the Cascades. On our journey we will learn about the incredible ecosystems that exist just beyond our front door, gaining a depth of knowledge about flora, fauna, and flavor! As we meander through the forest, our naturalist guides will remind you to keep your eyes peeled for wild mushrooms, berries, and other delectable items that grow wild in our amazing forests. After some hopefully fortuitous foraging, we will gather around the dining table for a four course meal prepared by Luckey’s Woodsman, using locally sourced ingredients and accompanied by local beer and wine. Alongside the absolutely incredible meal under a canopy of ponderosa and fir, Jackson of Luckey’s Woodsman will share his techniques, and more importantly his devout passion for making meals that pay homage to Central Oregon.

  • Dietary Restrictions: We will do our best to accommodate serious dietary restrictions/ allergies. That being said, we do not yet know the exact details of the meal as it will be planned and prepared based on the items we are likely to find while foraging. If you have any serious dietary restrictions, please answer the dietary restrictions prompt after you complete your booking! If you have any questions, feel free to call our office at 541-389-8359.

Weather & Cancellation Policy: All tours run rain or shine. Cancellations prior to two weeks are subject to a 10% cancellation fee. Cancellations within two weeks are subject to full tour cost. You can find more details regarding our cancellation policy here.
