ABOUT
Adventure: Cap off the 9th season of the Women’s Adventure Film Festival with a women-guided snowshoeing adventure in the heart of the Cascade Mountains!
So often we get energized watching films on adventurous, strong women and then head home to dream about our next excursion. This year, let's channel that excitement and energy into an adventure directly following the show! After the film fest ends, we will journey into the mountains, snowshoeing through an old-growth hemlock forest under the beauty of the night sky. Cruising on snowshoes, our destination is a hand-carved amphitheater in the snow where a crackling bonfire awaits. Turn your inspiration into action on this incredible, women-led snowshoe tour!
Naturalist Guided Experience: Kicking through the snow-laden forest after the fall of darkness, our nose will, in part, lead us to a Michaelangelo-esque creation- an amazing snow built amphitheater. When the whiff of pine hits our nostrils anticipation will grow for a taste of delectable desserts and hazelnut espresso vodka-laced hot cocoa. Our naturalist guides will point out planets, stars and constellations as we relax in the glow of the fire. The hushed ambience of the forest will stir your soul. The magic of this wholly unique experience will remain instilled within you forever!
Location: Snowshoeing tours take place in the areas around Mt. Bachelor and the surrounding Deschutes National Forest of the Cascade Mountain Range of Oregon. New to off-trail snowshoeing? Let Wanderlust Tours do the driving and teach you fun snowshoeing techniques and tricks. All tours include instruction. Wear winter boots and powder/ski pants to keep your feet and legs dry while snowshoeing.

Ticket: The tour price includes admission to the Women’s Adventure Film Festival. Admission details will be sent in your confirmation email.
PLEASE BRING
Layers: Warm jacket, gloves, hats, snow pants
please bring your snow layers to the event and you can change into them before we head up to the mountains.
Footwear: Snow boots - We will provide the snowshoes themselves but please wear a good pair of waterproof, insulated hiking/ snow boots.
Miscellaneous gear: Water bottle, Snacks if desired, camera, day pack (optional)
RENT
Waterproof boots and pants are available for rent through Wanderlust Tours.
If you wish to rent boots or pants, please reserve sizes ahead of time! Because we will be departing from the Tower Theatre, all rentals must be reserved ahead of time. You can add rentals to your reservation when booking online or by calling our office at (541) 389-8359

The event will feature an exhilarating selection of short films that showcase the inspiring journeys of remarkable women who fearlessly pursue adventure in various fields. This year's tour promises to captivate audiences with incredible stories of determination, courage, and triumph.
The Women’s Adventure Film Tour has been celebrated for its unique approach to showcasing women achieving their adventurous goals. Unlike traditional adventure films focusing solely on extreme feats, this tour aims to inspire everyone to step outside their comfort zone and challenge their boundaries. It's a celebration of bravery, perseverance, and the indomitable spirit within us.
