ABOUT
The foundation on which Wanderlust Tours was built and has flourished over our history is the natural world - the mighty rivers, stunning mountains, stoic buttes, pristine lakes, magnificent caves, and more. As part of our mission to inspire others and instill an appreciation for the environment, we are starting the Wanderlust Tours Scholarship Fund. The goal of the program is to broaden the population of outdoor enthusiasts that desire to recreate in our beautiful natural spaces. At Wanderlust, we believe that we can do so by supporting those that might not otherwise be able to participate in a guided tour experience due to financial and/or comfortability constraints. We want to bring greater accessibility to those who may not have access to the outdoor world that we care for so deeply. Our relationship to the natural world is an undeniable part of what makes us human and we believe that helping others experience and see the beauty of the natural world is good for them, good for those around them, and good for our planet as a whole.
APPLICATION PROCESS AND CRITERIA
Applicants are reviewed with consideration of the following:
Diversity of background and experience - preference to those that have not been on a Wanderlust Tour and that otherwise feel they would not have the gear or skillset to get out and explore the natural world.
Enthusiasm for the natural world - preference to those that have goals and aspirations to connect to the natural world and will bring back that connection and inspiration, utilizing it in their everyday lives. A plan to share their passion and knowledge with friends, family, and community is essential.
Location - to support our local communities, preference goes to those coming from <300 miles away!
