ART IN NATURE: Yoga in the Wild
Snowshoe through an old growth forest toward the glow of a warming hut for a guided yoga practice
Saturday, March 15th | 7:00pm - 11:00pm
ABOUT THE TOUR
Adventure: Join Wanderlust Tours for a soul stirring evening as we embark on a snowshoe adventure under the twinkling night sky. Weaving our way through the forest, we will happen upon a quaint warming hut where we will ground ourselves with a yoga class! During our adventure we will discuss the intimate relationship between the art of yoga and the natural world.
Naturalist Guided Experience: Our journey will take us up into the Cascade Mountains. Cruising on snowshoes, we will meander through an old growth forest where your naturalist guide will highlight the flora and fauna of the area, passing along stories rich in natural and cultural history! Upon our arrival to the warming hut we will take a moment to center ourselves before beginning our practice. After the practice, we will enjoy hot tea (& hot toddy’s!) and cap our evening off by stargazing among the snow-filled mountains!
Please note: the warming hut is an “open to the public” warming hut. We are not expecting to see anyone else out there this evening, but it is possible.

Jeannie D’Agostino
Jeannie was initially called to yoga in 2005 as a way to strengthen and support her body in response to a shoulder injury. She quickly began to see the positive impact of her practice, beyond just the physical aspects. After years of personal practice, Jeannie completed her 200-hour teacher training (accredited through YogaAlliance) in Philadelphia, PA with her teacher, Kelly Love. Understanding that a sustainable yoga practice lays the foundation for the practitioner to safely engage with movement in all stages of life, she credits yoga teachers Kelly Love and Jason Crandell with her interest and passion for anatomy-informed yoga. Jeannie is passionate about creating accessible classes that allow people of all yoga backgrounds to explore familiar poses, grow in their practice, and better connect with their surroundings.
As a Naturalist Guide with Wanderlust, Jeannie has found inspiration through the many awe-inspiring locations here in Central Oregon and is excited to bring her two passions together through Yoga in the Wild. While honoring the deep roots and philosophy of yoga, Jeannie's classes draw inspiration from her trainings, personal practice, and of course...the great outdoors.
Jeannie is excited to bring naturalist-inspired yoga to Bend and hopes that you will be similarly inspired as we adventure and move our way through the forest!
